Can you believe that 2015 is nearly over?! This has been a busy, yet fantastic year for me and my family and with Christmas quickly approaching, I started to think about what I want and need since officially starting my business earlier this year. So here is my Christmas Wish List:
1. Custom Footwear
If you know me, then you know I am a the poster child for Converse. I have a small collection of Chuck Taylors and I absolutely adore how versatile they are with my wardrobe. Since becoming a mother, they are definitely my first choice for footwear. I would love some custom made Chucks with my business name or logo printed on them! I also have some other branding ideas that my husband is helping me with.
2. Eye wear
Eye wear is a very popular accessory right now. I have been searching for the perfect frames for some time & I think I've found them! While browsing Pinterest last week, I saw the frames below and fell in love! What do you think?
3. Signature Tote
Every woman needs a signature handbag. Enough said.
4. Small Appliance
Being a health and wellness enthusiast always has me in the kitchen trying new recipes. But I stay busy and sometimes need the convenience of a meal on the go. I have been through a few blenders over the last few years, but I think the Nutri Ninja I have had my eye on can withstand all of the smoothies I crave.
5. Identification Badge
I have recently been looking at name badges and I have started designing one for myself. I feel like it will be a subtle and professional way of letting others know who I am and what I do without having to say a word. This will also help me with warm chatting :) I will gladly welcome any grocery line small talk!
6. Professional Development
What good doula isn't interested in continuing her education and building a better business? For most of 2015, I have been steadily building my business starting with the first of many trainings I completed. ProDoula and other doula organizations offer so much more than trainings and I am excited to see my business grow and thrive next year with their help. I also want to complete my perinatal fitness certification with Healthy Moms and possibly obtain my Aqua Zumba license as well.
Being able to fulfill my purpose and help families is truly number one on my wish list. I have been working with families in the Triangle area for over ten years as a babysitter, nanny and family consultant. I look forward to assisting many more as a postpartum doula in 2016 and beyond!
