Hi! I'm Kelly. your doula, educator, encourager and companion through one of life’s most sacred journeys.
With over 25 years of experience caring for families, from early babysitting and professional nannying to birth and postpartum care, I believe knowledge and supportive presence can transform your transition into parenthood. Best of Both Worlds Doula Services was born from my own story of needing support after the birth of my son, and from a passion to bring strength, compassion, and spiritual encouragement to others. Every family deserves support that honors not just the physical transition of becoming parents, but also the emotional and spiritual growth that accompanies it. I am a former Georgia Peach who has called Raleigh home for over 20 years. I reside with my wonderful husband DeAntony, our teenage son, Preston and our sweet American Staffy. I am what I call a ‘Non-traditional Southern Belle’ with a touch of Mary Poppins. |

My husband and I met 21 years ago while attending Shaw University and became college sweethearts. We are both from the Atlanta area, but fell in love with Raleigh's family-friendly atmosphere and decided to make North Carolina our home.
You can usually catch us on the weekends, experiencing all that our great city has to offer at various events and serving the community. My husband, DeAntony, was a candidate for Raleigh City Council-District E in 2015. He retired from teaching preschool in 2020 to open his custom craft shop, which is where creativity shines. He now works as an Educational Behavior Specialist at a local elementary school & Business Consultant to businesses in the Triangle area. DeAntony also serves as a political consultant, community advocate and social podcaster. We are always looking for ways to give back to the city that has given us so much. Please feel free to introduce yourself if you see us! Our son, Preston, is a sweet, bright, aspiring artist who truly is my heart. Becoming a mother was and still is one of the greatest days of my life, and it has taught me so much about myself as well as helped guide me in my work. |
