My husband and I met 19 years ago while attending Shaw University and became college sweethearts. We are both from the Atlanta area, but fell in love with the family-friendly atmosphere of Raleigh and decided to make North Carolina our home.
You can usually catch us on the weekends experiencing all that our great city has to offer at various events and serving the community. My husband, DeAntony, was a candidate for Raleigh City Council-District E in 2015. He retired from teaching preschool in 2020 to open his custom craft shop where is his most creative. He now works as an Educational Behavior Specialist & Business Consultant to local schools & businesses in the Triangle area. DeAntony also still serves as a political consultant and community advocate. We are always looking for ways to give back to the city that has given us so much. Please feel free to introduce yourself if you see us!
Our son, Preston, is a sweet, bright, aspiring artist who truly is my heart. Becoming a mother was and still is one of the greatest days of my life and it has taught me so much about myself as well as helped guide me in my work.
