I am a 39 year-old Georgia Peach who now calls Raleigh home. I reside with my wonderful husband DeAntony, and our beautiful little boy, Preston and our American Staff, Leo. I am what I call a ‘Non-traditional Southern Belle’ with a touch of Mary Poppins.
Working with children and families as a babysitter, in child care centers and as a professional nanny for so many years was such a joy. As a doula, I am always humbled and excited to share all of my knowledge & experience as a Birth and Postpartum Doula. There is something so fulfilling about helping parents embrace their instincts and find their way in the glorious world of parenthood. Having a baby is a beautiful time for a family, but it can be very stressful because of the unknown. I want to help nurture and support families during labor & delivery as well as the special transition time known as the "fourth trimester." |

My husband and I met 20 years ago while attending Shaw University and became college sweethearts. We are both from the Atlanta area, but fell in love with the family-friendly atmosphere of Raleigh and decided to make North Carolina our home.
You can usually catch us on the weekends experiencing all that our great city has to offer at various events and serving the community. My husband, DeAntony, was a candidate for Raleigh City Council-District E in 2015. He retired from teaching preschool in 2020 to open his custom craft shop where is his most creative. He now works as an Educational Behavior Specialist & Business Consultant to local schools & businesses in the Triangle area. DeAntony also still serves as a political consultant and community advocate. We are always looking for ways to give back to the city that has given us so much. Please feel free to introduce yourself if you see us! Our son, Preston, is a sweet, bright, aspiring artist who truly is my heart. Becoming a mother was and still is one of the greatest days of my life and it has taught me so much about myself as well as helped guide me in my work. |
